At the Hythe and Dibden Community Spirit Awards held in September three of their volunteers were nominated for awards - Pat Chant, who has volunteered in their O ce for over 10 years and always brings her smile and dedications with her. Ceri Werren who has cooked delicious meals at their Sunday Lunch Club in Dibden for over 20 years and grows and donates a lot of the fruit and vegetables and Charlie Threlfall who has been a Goodneighbours Volunteer for over 15 years and is their chief gardener, always delivering a top class service - from a tidy up, lawn mow or repotting tubs for their clients. Charlie has even recruited his wife Jane to help him and they are now able to help more of the Charity’s clients. Charlie was chosen from all the nominations to receive the 2025 Community Spirit Award and the prestigious shield. Charlie also won the Volunteer of the Year Award 2025 for the Goodneighbours Service at Age Concern New Forest’s Volunteer Awards. Volunteer of the Year 2025 was awarded to their entire Black eld shop Team of Volunteers led by their dedicated Volunteer Acting Manager Dot.
