A er training a team of over 50 volunteers, the New Forest HEAT Project is now o ering home energy advice visits and thermal imaging surveys free of charge to anyone living within the NFDC boundary. Cathy Cook, New Forest HEAT Project, said: “We have a really great team of volunteers spread right across the Forest. They are keen to help as many local people as possible with cutting their energy bills and staying warm this coming winter. Our volunteers will shortly begin doing thermal imaging surveys of people’s homes as the winter is when we put the heating on and so it’s the perfect time for spotting where the heat is leaking out – it is really obvious on the thermal-imaging camera screen.” Anyone interested to nd out more or to book a home visit and thermal imaging survey, please visit the New Forest HEAT Project website: www. theheatproject.org.uk and ll out the form on the Energy Surveys page - or you can call: 023 8028 3491, or scan the QR code on the HEAT Project advert which will take you straight to the right place on the Project’s website. To meet the project team face to face and ask them your questions, you can nd them at their stand at Hythe Market (near Morrisons) on Tuesday 11th November and Tuesday 18th November and at Marchwood Village Christmas Market at Marchwood Village Hall on Saturday 15th November (11am–3pm). If you’d like to get free training and become a volunteer energy advisor yourself, you can apply to do so on the project’s Volunteer webpage at www. theheatproject.org.uk or you can call 023 8028 3491.
