On the evening the damage occurred in September, leaders from the 3rd Dibden Purlieu Scout group, based just behind the shop in Whin eld Road, came to help Toby clear up the debris and provided boarding to seal up the broken window, saving him from paying the Police to secure the property. Paulesh and family from Dibden Purlieu Post O ce were also very supportive on the night. e damage couldn’t have come at a worse time for Toby as he was in the process of closing down the shop in Dibden Purlieu. On speaking to his insurance company, it became evident that they would not pay out due to a clause about malicious damage or attempted the , leaving Toby to foot the bill for a new window. Toby has been a longstanding customer of Jerry Still Installations over the years, on hearing about his window damage, Jerry’s son Lewis o ered free labour to t the new window for Toby, which he did in time for Toby to hand back the keys of the shop to the landlady.
