Here’s an overview of our special events and services in the coming weeks. At Bubble Church we begin thinking about the Christmas story on Sunday 23rd November. Each Sunday we will be exploring a di erent part of the Christmas story together with puppets, story and singing. Doors open each week at 9.15am for breakfast and refreshments, and the short half-hour service starts at 9.30am. We have our special Christmas Messy Church sessions on Friday 28th November (at St John’s Hall) and Friday 5th December (at St Anne’s Neighbourhood Centre). Children of all ages, along with their parents and carers, are welcome to come and join us for Christmas activities and to enjoy a delicious Christmas dinner together. Messy Church runs from 3.30pm-5pm, there is no need to book. On Sunday 30th November we have a special re ective service to start the Advent season, titled ‘Longing for Light’, there will be music led by the choir and a series of readings to help us prepare for the coming season. is will take place at St John’s Church at 5.30pm. On Sunday 7th December we will be celebrating Christingle at both Bubble Church in the morning (9.30am) and at our usual Christingle Service at 4pm. e Bubble Church Christingle is specially designed for very young children, whilst the a ernoon Christingle Service will be ideal for the whole family. Both of these Christingle services will be held at St John’s Church. On Sunday 14th December we have our traditional Festival of Carols service at 5.30pm at St John’s Church. is will be followed the week a er, on Sunday 21st December, with a special Family Carol Service designed for all ages, 4pm at St John’s. On Christmas Eve we have a Christmas cra and dress-up nativity event from 2pm–3.30pm in St John’s Church. Do come and join us with your families! We then also have our Christmas Eve Communion Services – 5.30pm at St Anne’s and 11.15pm at St John’s. We will celebrate together on Christmas Day at 10am with a special Family Communion Service. Do bring along one of the Christmas presents you’ve received to show the rest of the congregation! We really hope you will be able to join us! Sunday Services in Blackfield Go along to Black eld Baptist Church (The Heart of the Village) on Sundays 23rd, 30th November, 7th, 14th and 21st December from 10.30am for their regular services. Everyone is welcome to join them at Hampton Lane, Black eld for their services. Can You Help To Knit Some Woolly Angels? Every year St John’s Church in Hythe like to inform the local community of their church service times in the most angelic of ways. At the beginning of December the church give away little hand cra ed angel keepsakes along with their Christmas service times attached. The ‘Angel Lady’ Sue Blomley is asking for anyone who enjoys knitting, crocheting or sewing to get involved. If you are able to help you can pick up a pattern from e Herald O ce. Please drop all nished angels o to the Church or Hall o ce. Can you help to make some angels? Hythe Spiritualist Church Hythe Spiritualist Church Independent invites you to join them every Friday night, 7pm–9.30pm, at Hythe Community Centre, Brinton Lane (SO45 6DU) for a divine service of mediumship and clairvoyance.
