Come and join us for a fantastic day out with the whole family this February half-term. A daily schedule of farming activities includes kid goat and calf bottle-feeding, duck feeding, and meeting small animals such as baby chicks, rabbits, and guinea pigs in the brilliant Animal Encounter Barn. ere are plenty of friendly animals to see around the farm including cows, alpacas, Pygmy goats, donkeys and ponies, pigs, ducks, chickens, and geese, plus lots of babies, large and small. ere’s so much playtime fun to be had at the farm. NEW this season: e Little Farmers’ Play Yard – an undercover mini yard where youngsters can help clear the farm using spades and mini wheelbarrows, PLUS plenty of creative fun with the new mud kitchens now installed alongside the diggers in the sandpit area. Not forgetting the old favourites such as the fantastic all-inclusive outdoor play area which includes trampolines, zip wire, climbing frame, an accessible swing for wheelchair users, and much more! ere are plenty of other playtime activities, including the Pitchfork and Putt crazy golf course*, trampolines, ride-on toy tractors, and go-karts. e tearoom and kiosk, serving drinks and snacks, and li ing hoist for visitors with assisted needs. e Longdown Farm Shop has a large range of delicious locally sourced produce, and the Chicken Shack is stocked with plenty of poultry feed and equipment. ere is no charge to visit the Farm Shop, which is open to visitors and non-visitors of the Activity Farm. Longdown Activity Farm will be opening the farm gates for the 2026 season from Saturday 14th February, every day until 2nd November, and then on further selected days through November and December. We will be holding a Closing Down Sale on Friday 6th, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th February from 10.30am – 4pm each day at our Farm to Yarn shop in Pilley, SO41 5QW. Everything to go, from hand-dyed and natural mohair yarns, mini mo skeins, dyed eece, dyed silks for felting and cra work, needlefelt kits and supplies, mohair socks, and handknits as well as display stands.
