Music at Beaulieu Music at Beaulieu’s 2026 season begins at 4pm on Saturday 21st February with a concert given by Rose Gosney who will be playing the Bruch Violin Concerto and Robert Markham who will be playing Rachmanino ’s 2nd Piano Concerto. Rose has the distinction of being the rst winner of Music at Beaulieu’s Pelham Award and is making a welcome return to Beaulieu. Robert was a piano-class winner of the BBC’s Young Musician of the Year and now has a busy career as both performer and teacher. Art Exhibition e New Forest Art Society will be holding an Exhibition at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens from Saturday 7th February until Sunday 15th February. eir next monthly meeting is on Wednesday 18th February with Fiona Forbes for a demonstration on light and colour - using acrylic. New members are always welcome and visitors are invited to go along for a small entry fee (£5). Meetings are held in the Pine Room at Lyndhurst Community Centre, 2.15pm - 4.15pm from November to February and 7.30pm - 9.30pm March to October. Meetings nish at around 3.30 pm, but everyone is invited to stay for tea and biscuits if they wish. On Tuesday 3rd February they welcome back David Boag, naturalist extraordinaire, he will be giving his talk, “ e Wild Coast”. On Tuesday 17th February Ruth Kerr, will talk about “Hampshire – Supporting Farming rough the Ages”. Special interest groups meet regularly, including skittles, embroidery, and gardening. ere are lunch dates, which are o en fully booked on the day they’re announced. About 70 members recently enjoyed Christmas lunch at South Lawns, Milford on Sea. ere is a group that meets to play boules on alternate ursday a ernoons, at the Old Mill, Hardley. is group intended to continue playing throughout the winter months, weather permitting. However, it’s been decided that a minimum temperature of 10 degrees is required for them to enjoy a game! e table tennis group, which plays fortnightly at Gang Warily, is actively seeking more players. e history group meets every month, and for the next few sessions, will be hearing about Kings and Queens, randomly chosen by individual members.
