It promises a vibrant programme of performances showcasing a wide range of styles. e annual One Act festival is a ‘Stage One’ of the All England National One Act eatre Festival and the winning group from Totton will go forward to the Western Area Final where they will compete for a space in the English Final. Audiences can expect an exciting mix of comedy, drama, and original work, all performed by passionate community actors and actresses from across the south. The Totton Festival of Drama is not only great entertainment for enthusiastic theatre goers at a reasonable cost it is also a celebratory platform for grassroots theatre. Performances will be adjudicated by professional adjudicator Annie Rees, offering constructive feedback and recognition for excellence in acting, direction, lighting, writing and production. “The festival is about bringing people together through live performance,” said Chairperson Mike Farleigh. “It’s a chance for local drama groups to share their work, learn from each other, and perform to an enthusiastic audience.” Audiences can see up to three plays each evening.
