Organisers Gavlar and Crystle recently presented the money donated during the display to two local charities. An amazing £2767.72 was raised from this year’s light display with £1383.86 going to Wessex Cancer Support and the Hythe Pier Heritage Association. Gavlar and Crystle comment: “Thank you all the wonderful people and shops who donated raffle prizes: Trant, Stu Mcllwraith, New Forest District Council, ExxonMobil, Hythe Post Office, Emma’s Nails, Chip ‘N’ Tails in Hollybank, Adams Cafe, Meeple Play Cafe & Bar, Jane Bidwell Flowers, Tranquil Touch Skin Therapies, Waterside Keepsakes from Penrux, Cutting Hythe Pier Heritage Association receive their donation to Ryan and Reece who played the Grinch and to Kevin, Bob and Sath from Hythe Pier, who gave up their own time to help build the Christmas light display.” Watch out for an even bigger display in November this year! Ron Lines will have his trade stand. Refreshments available and car parking is free on the Sunday. e price has been held at £7 adult, £3 child and £17 for family (2 + 2 ) ticket.
