Why not add a bottle of house wine and its only £45 Tools for Self Reliance Spring Events from Tools for Self Reliance Tools for Self Reliance is looking forward to a busy and social spring, and we would love to see more local people getting involved with what we do. You may already have spotted our advert for National Quilting Day on Saturday 21st March, when we’ll be holding a special sale. It’s a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys sewing or quilting to pick up materials, plus there will be a Siddi Quilting demo. We also have our popular Spring Quiz Night which will take place on Friday 8th May at Netley Marsh Community Hall. e quiz is always friendly, and suitable for teams or individuals. Tickets cost £15 and include pizza, making it an easy and enjoyable evening out. We have a variety of workshops with Craft2Craft that run 2pm-4pm: Easter Wreath Making – Thursday 19th March. Granny Square Beginners Crochet Workshop – Thursday 19th April. Decoupage Workshop – Thursday 21st May. Tickets are £15pp, for each workshop, and include all materials, and tea and cake. If you haven’t visited us before, we also encourage people to drop by our on-site shop, the Renew Store. e shop stocks a wide range of haberdashery items, fabrics, tools and all sorts of useful and interesting things, with stock changing regularly. We are currently open on Mondays and ursdays from 10am to 3pm, and Fridays from 10am to 1pm. We also o er a tool sharpening service, including garden tools, which is particularly handy at this time of year as people start preparing their gardens for spring and summer. Drop o and collections are on Mondays. Finally, we are always on the lookout for new shop volunteers. Extra help would allow us to open the Renew Store more o en. DORSET CRICKET SOCIETY UPCOMING TALKS e Dorset Cricket Society is in its 23rd year, with members joining from across the New Forest and the wider Hampshire area at their weekly meetings held in Hurn Bridge Sports Club, Christchurch, BH23 6DY. e line-up of speakers for this season includes ex international players, as well as others that are prominent in other aspects of the game. Meetings take place every Thursday afternoon commencing 1.45pm, running until late March 2026.
