Breast Walk Ever Hampshire has a choice of three distances perfect for anyone looking for a local walking challenge for a good cause. e routes, all start together at the IBM Hursley Sports and Social Club just outside Winchester, following waymarked trails including the Itchen, Pilgrims and Monarch’s Way. Against Breast Cancer’s Breast Walk Ever events have been going since 2014. Walkers have raised in excess of £350,000 in that time towards research into secondary spread breast cancer; a lot of which takes place at the University of Southampton. “We are delighted to be back in Hampshire with our fourth Breast Walk Ever event in Hursley.” said the charity’s Head of Fundraising, Richard Martin. Participants will enjoy regular support stops and a complimentary massage at the nish to go with their hard-earned medal. ere is free parking too. All walkers are asked to raise funds with an initial target of £100. Testwood Baptist Church’s monthly Bereavement Café is held in the lounge at M Johnson Family Funeral Directors, 26-28 Commercial Road, Totton. e Café is run on a ‘drop-in’ basis between 1pm and 2.30pm on the second Monday of each month and is not designed to be a counselling session. Visitors to the Café will receive a warm welcome and a supportive environment for reflection and conversation; a place to nd mutual support and encouragement. e kettle is always on with tea, co ee and a variety of cakes (including a gluten-free option) served by a friendly team of volunteers. Families Matter run the support group which o ers cognitive stimulation therapy for people with early stage dementia. It encourages people to socialise and have fun learning and remembering together. Carers are also welcome to stay and have a cup of tea and chat to other carers.
