Under the heat and adjusting to a larger pitch size, the boys started with erce determination to dominate the rst part of the match. With some fantastic passing and keeping the pressure onto the opposition the rst try was easily scored by Ethan Morton who powered up the pitch, well supported by his team mates. Realising the quality of their opposition, Romsey stepped up to equalise but Fawley continued to work together with some excellent defence tactics by Connor Farrell and Al e Parmenter. e match started to get exciting with another try by each side to bring the match to 4-4. Supporters were kept on the edge of their seats with plenty to play for as the score crept from 5-4 to 6-4 to Romsey with excellent tries from James Walley and Marcus Wilkins from Fawley to keep them in the game. It was all to play for as Ethan Morton scored twice more but the score in the end was 7-5 to Romsey. An excellent start to the season and coach Glenn Jenks was justi ably proud of his young players. With a start like this, the season is looking very promising for this determined squad. If you are aged 4-16 and are interested in playing rugby for Fawley RFC, please go along to Gang Warily on Sundays at 10am. LIGHT PARTY St John’s Church, Hythe, o ers a fun alternative this Halloween. Halloween is fast becoming a key date in the calendar, with increasing numbers of children getting dressed up, knocking on doors and asking ‘trick or treat?’ But if you’re not keen on your children doing this then there is another option. Rather than discourage them from having fun with their friends and going out to meet their local community, why not take them along to their Light Party? e party is at St John’s Church, Hythe on Thursday 31st October from 5pm until 6.30pm . Together you will celebrate light, rather than darkness, this Halloween. ere will be lots of games, music, activities and more for the children/young people in the community. Staying with the Mitre brand but this time in striking Yellow, the Fawley Falcon Hawks U11’s have the full kit needed to push forward with their campaign in the New Forest & District Youth Football League.
