If you would like to join them ring Colin and Jan on 023 8089 4355 or go along to their meeting on Thursday 31st October and then each fortnight onwards. Greenbuttercup CIC, in conjunction with Romsey Dementia Action Group (ROMDAG), runs its arts and cra s sessions for people living withDementia and their carers on the rst Friday of the month, in the Green Room, at the Plaza eatre in Romsey from 10.30am until 12.30pm. eir next session is on Friday 1st November when they will be decorating lanterns for this year’s Romsey Lantern Parade, which takes place prior to Late Night Shopping on Friday 6th December . e theme this year is ‘literature’ and we will be decorating them as ‘101 Dalmatians’. On behalf of those participants who are unable to carry a lantern in the Parade, we are looking for people who would like to join in the Parade and represent us. ROMDAG supports a number of regular social activities for those living with Dementia and further information can be found at www. romdag.co.uk ARTS & CRAFTS Angie Mills from ‘Sporting Memories Network’ will be leading the session on Friday 15th November , so why don’t you go along, to experience all things to do with ‘sport’. ey will have sporting TV themes to listen to, sport-related food to eat (including oranges at half-time!) and lots of activities to join in - to help them reminisce about time enjoyed playing, watching, and listening to di erent types of sports. If you have any sporting memorabilia, why not take it along – it could be about your favourite sports person/team or even yourself. Anyone with a Dementia, who is interested in sport – even if it’s just playing pub games such as darts or table football; or playing ‘spot the ball’ – is welcome to join them. ey meet as usual in the Green Room at the Plaza eatre from 10.30am until 12.30pm. ere is a charge of £3 per person to include all activities and refreshments. ere is no need to book, but if you would like more information, please contact: Pamela@shadow26.plus . com or call 01794 501605. A ‘Sport Experience’ If you have reached 50 (or are older) and would like to get out and do some exercise whilst socialising then this is the group for you. e group runs every Thursday from 10am until 12noon at the Gang Warily Recreation & Community Centre. Take part in Badminton, Table Tennis, Short Mat Bowls, the Gym and a Stretching class. All n- ished o with tea, co ee and a natter with some lovely people. ere are also fun day trips and a tournament every year. Whether you have just turned 50 or are closer to 90 you can join; the oldest member is 91. First session free, then £4.85 non-member or £4.35 member. Are You a Nifty Fifty?
