Ian Foot will give a digital and colour slide presentation on ‘ e North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR)’. Ian was the NYMR’s Traction and Rolling Stock Engineer as well as a volunteer driver. Part 1 will feature the history of the Whitby and Pickering Railway from 1836 up to the current day including obtaining running over Network Rail to Whitby, a major bridge renewal and other projects. Part 2 will feature slides from Ian’s collection of his 30-year involvement with the railway in both paid and volunteer capacity and as a Trust Board Director.
