She was awarded 3rd prize and was presented with a beautiful bouquet of owers and a cheque for £100.00 at their o cial launch in February. Sylvia is a volunteer for their Waterside G o o d n e i g h b o u r s Service and gives her time readily to help clients with shopping, doctors’ appointments, picking up prescriptions and various other tasks. Sylvia is donating £50 of her prize to Waterside Goodneighbours and certainly is a local hero. anks to Carpathia Grange for also letting Age Concern host a Dementia Training session last month for their volunteers. On display were many old black & white photos of the area. ere were also old maps as well as a modern Lidar map. eir two rolls of honour showed all the men from the parish who had served in the war, they still have quite a few photos of some of them to nd. e stage was set with all 1960’s items which brought back memories for many people. ey have been researching the Judd family tree and that was on show. e local guides and Bartley school also had displays. Refreshments were supplied by the guides throughout the day. Outside in the car park they had a red Southampton double decker bus and a 1969 Volkswagen camper van. Popular Exhibition Day
