A fundraising campaign was launched with the intention of refurbishing the memorial (including repainting the lettering) to have it brought back to its former glory in time for a re-dedication service on its centenary date. To date the fundraising effort has been very successful. They are pleased to report that The actual r e - d e d i c a t i o n service of the Memorial has been arranged all the ‘Marchwood Calendars’ printed in aid of the fundraising appeal have now sold out. eir thanks go to all those who purchased a copy. e project team remain quietly confident that by the time this article appears in print they will have secured the necessary funds to enable the proposed work to be carried out. Weather permitting this work is likely to start April/May. for Friday 23rd October at 11am.
