Designed to build con dence and grow skills, the practical and fun sessions are aimed at anyone looking to enjoy drama-based activities in a friendly, supportive environment. ere are separate sessions for adults and young people. Both are led by professional facilitators and will o er an excellent opportunity to learn performing skills and put on shows in Hanger Farm’s stunning 18th century wooden barn. ese groups for the general public join two separate existing sessions for people aged 16 or over that are for people with a learning disability, autism and other additional needs. e weekly workshops have been helping more than 30 budding actors to build con dence, develop communication skills and make new friends. As well as its work with the community theatre, Minstead Trust also supports more than 200 people with learning disabilities to achieve greater independence, lead ful lled lives and live as full citizens in society. e Arts Centre runs shows and events all year - with high quality comedy, music and theatre from some of the country’s most talented performers. Every ticket bought helps the Trust’s charitable work to support people with learning disabilities. Adding the adult and youth groups alongside our existing learning disability-focused groups will create wonderful drama opportunities for the whole community. We aim to focus on the ideas and skills of the people in our groups, and we use drama games, devising, singing, music and text work to create unique and engaging performances.” e adult group will run every Monday from 11.30am to 1pm. e youth theatre group ran a taster session on Wednesday 11th March, 6.30 to 8pm and will run regular weekly sessions from 8th April. Both sessions are £5.50 per-person, per-week. Hanger Farm Arts Centre, said: “We are very excited about the further Members of the Hanger Farm Community Theatre learning disability drama groups perform at Hanger Farm Arts Centre in Totton Annual Parish Meeting Fawley Parish Council will hold its Annual Parish Meeting on Wednesday 29th April at 7pm in the Jubilee Hall, Fawley. Guest speaker will be Andy Butler, Community Safety O cer, Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service who will give a presentation on the ‘Safe andWell’ project followed by a ten minute Question & Answer session. Also during the evening the ‘Chairman’s Cup’ will be presented to a local resident who in the opinion of the Chairman has made a signi cant di erence to the parish during the last year. e Council would like to encourage any parishioners wishing to include an item on the agenda of the Annual Parish meeting to contact the Parish Council O ce by either visiting Gang Warily Recreation and Community Centre, by telephone on 023 8089 0761 or via email to clerk@fawley-pc.gov.uk by Wednesday 8th April.
