Follow woodland trails to meet the parks residents including giant otters, Northern lynx and European bison. Visit during school holidays and there are seasonal quizzes that take you on a journey around the park with fun facts along the way. Quarterly social meetings are also held, at St Andrew’s Church Hall, Dibden Purlieu – on Friday evenings or Saturday a ernoons. ese give an opportunity for members to get together socially with visiting speakers, demonstrations and other activities. e club holds exhibitions of its members’ work and ‘carve-ins’ where everyone is welcome to go along and see carvers in action and nd out more. Gliding the Boeing 747 New Forest Aviation Group meets once a month for a programme of interesting speakers, chosen to appeal to anyone with an interest in aviation. At the next meeting on Friday 3rd April for a talk titled ‘Gliding the Boeing 747’ by Eric Moody. is will be followed on Friday 1st May for a talk titled ‘ e Magic at Was e Harrier’ by Chris Marshall. Hand, garden, electric and vintage tools will be on sale, that are unsuitable to be sent to their vocational training projects in Africa. All money raised will enable the charity to continue supporting people with vocational training and tools in Ghana, Malawi, Zambia, Sierra Leona and Uganda. Antiques & Arts Market LIONS BOOKSTALL Romsey Lions hold regular book stalls in e Cornmarket, Romsey. eir next book sale will be on Saturday 4th April and Saturday 9th May from 9am until 3pm. ey welcome donations of good quality paperbacks for the stall and also gi s for their bric-a-brac section. Donations can be taken along to the stall on the day of the sales or alternatively you can call 0344 963 2463 to arrange for a collection to be made. Lions are both men and women, and there are no age restrictions to membership other than you must be over 18. ey are approachable people from many walks of life, and they enjoy an active social life. A few hours a month are all it takes to help others less fortunate in the community.
