Items for sale include: Various cakes, pastry goods and savouries, a wide selection of preserves including honey, various cra s including greetings cards and wooden items, seasonal fresh produce, free-range eggs, and plants. ey have new items from new producers; wooden trugs and boxes, candle holders, fairy houses, chopping boards and more, plus the popular stay- put towels. Celebration cakes can be ordered for Birthdays, Christenings, and Christmas etc. ese need to be ordered at least 4 weeks in advance. Many of the items can be ordered separately, or put together as part of a gi hamper which can be delivered locally. Weather permitting, they operate the market on a Saturday once a month in Hythe, from 9.30am until 1pm, under FOR WINE LOVERS e Brockenhurst Wine Club meets monthly in Brockenhurst Village Hall, usually on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm. Shops reported their highest footfall of the year… even higher than Good Friday in many cases. 62 million people would have seen, heard or read about National Fish and Chip Day and the hashtag was #1 on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook from 8am until 8pm. From sh and chip shops, pub chains, restaurants, retailers and hotels, to the shermen and farmers who provide the sustainable and natural ingredients used to create it, the whole nation will be preparing and enjoying this iconic family favourite. is is the biggest food awareness day of the year. Donations of £4 pay for a touch and feel sensory toy, £15 funds bre-optic lights for a multisensory room, and £200 funds a music system to give children added stimulation. Last year during National Doughnut Week £32,532 was raised for The Children’s Trust with the help of hundreds of independent bakers, cafes and shops who sold delicious doughnuts for charity. It has been running for 28 years, a er being launched in 1991 by Christopher Freeman, owner of Dunn’s Bakery.
