FOR FIRST SESSION Greenbuttercup CIC, in conjunction with Romsey Dementia Action Group (ROMDAG), runs its arts and cra s sessions for people living with Dementia and their carers on the rst Friday of the month, in the Green Room, at the Plaza eatre in Romsey from 10.30am until 12.30pm. eir next session on Friday 3rd April is for ‘Jewellery & Accessories’, followed on Friday 1st May with ‘Banners & Bunting’. Greenbuttercup is very grateful to the RAODS committee at the Plaza for continuing to allow them to use the Green Room, and the parking behind the theatre. ere is a charge of £3 per person (including carer) and this includes all materials, tuition and drinks. ROMDAG supports a number of regular social activities for those living with Dementia and further information can be found at www.romdag.co.uk ARTS & CRAFTS Fawley Young at Heart Club are a small group of friendly senior citizens who meet up every other ursday at Jubilee Hall in Fawley from 2pm to 4pm, where they play a few games of bingo, chat and have a cup of tea. If you would like to join them ring Colin and Jan on 023 8089 4355 or go along to their meeting on Thursday 16th April and then each fortnight onwards. Young at Heart e Evergreen Club meets at St John’s Hall, New Road, Hythe twice a month from 1.45pm until 4pm. At the rst meeting of the month members enjoy a talk from a guest speaker, while the second meeting is usually a social one. Members meet up on Thursday 16th April for a Social A ernoon, then on Thursday 7th May for a talk by Gordon Chambers titled ‘Langdown Lawn (GoldenHind Park)’, this will be followed on Thursday 21st May for a Social A ernoon. ey are organising a Canal Trip for Thursday 28th May , more details from Peter. Black eld Bubble is a drop-in support group for people living with dementia and their carers. For more information, contact Pauline Jordan on 07871 180426 or email: o ce.fm.hurc@gmail.com BLACKFIELD BUBBLE ere is an over Sixties club in the centre of Totton called the Totton and District ree Score Club that holds a wide range of activities to suit male and female members. ese include, line dancing, bingo, short mat bowls, darts, snooker, whist, sequence dancing, ballroom dancing, knitting circle, art group and many others. ey also run organised holidays in the UK and days out by coach and skittle evenings with a meal. ey enjoy the occasional a ernoon party or tea dance. Membership is yearly and there is usually a 50p charge for the activities. A warm welcome awaits all who attend on any or all of the above activities and the hall is also used by local groups such as the Totton Gardeners, Cage Birds, Art Society, Women’s Institute and the South Hants Budgerigars Societies in the evenings. e Club can be found between the Library and the Council O ces in Totton.
