A fun lled a ernoon was had by all at the meeting held last month. e group were entertained by the fantastic ladies trio known as the ‘Goodnight Sweethearts’. ey were dressed in ‘Land Girls’ uniforms and performed a selection of songs to suit. e group members had a chance to sing along to the songs as well as waving ags. e friendly Huddle group meet on the rst Wednesday of each month from 2.30pm until 4.30pm at the Cornerstone U.R.C. Hythe Huddle being entertained by Goonight Sweethearts BOWLED OVER Totton and Eling Bowls Club adopted The Motor Neurone Disease Association for its President’s Charity in 2019 and raised over £1,700. is was in response to the sad death of former Lady Captain, Irene Seabrook, earlier in the year. e cheque was presentated recently to Pamela Fry, Regional Organiser for MNDA . Pamela Fry, Regional Organiser for MNDA accepting the cheque from members of Totton & Eling Bowl’s Club Hythe Wives will be meeting on Thursday 2nd April for a talk by Marchwood & Hythe First Responders, followed on Thursday 19th April with Entertainment by Melody Makers. Hythe Wives meet twice a month at St Andrew’s Centre, Dibden Purlieu, 7pm until 9pm, with speaker starting at 7.30pm.
