You are invited to BETHANY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP Rollestone Road, Holbury Every Sunday, 6.20pm for 6.30pm C hristian W orship & T eaching • Last Thursday of the Month C offee M orning 10.15-11.45am 023 8089 2153 Everyone Welcome As I write this in the middle of March the update and advice concerning COVID-19 is changing by the day and sadly it feels like things will get worse in our nation before they get better. Whilst many of us are rather uncomfortable with some evidence of panic and mass hysteria we do appreciate that there will be anxiety ahead especially for those with underlying health conditions. We are also aware at this time of just how many contacts, friendship and relationships that make up our daily lives - many of us our deeply connected although some have for many years already been living isolated lives. As life may be very di erent for us at the moment and in the immediate future, we will want to connect with people in di erent ways to show we care without putting them at risk. is is true whether you are a person of faith or not. e question of how and why su ering happens has been with us for centuries and remains something of a mystery despite our best e orts to answer it. As a Christian I do believe that in the most di cult of situations there we nd Jesus with us who knows all about and experienced for himself great su ering. I am led to a verse in the Bible which says: “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7). My prayer is that we all will know a measure of this in these troubled times and as we celebrate Easter shortly it will be a time when we especially receive peace, hope, and new life.
