Almost 100 people took up the challenge and together have raised £12,000 to provide emotional and practical support for local people living with cancer. One of the local teams was a group of ve from New Forest Rotary who each walked ten miles and raised to being filled with hope for the future. Wessex Cancer Trust does that with the support it provides in its local communities, and the team has been working harder than ever to keep that support going throughout the pandemic. Taking part in Walk for Hope over the years has really helped me focus on getting well during my recovery period.” Chris Bryant, Managing Director at Drive Personnel, who sponsored the walkers’ t-shirts said: “Cancer is something close to our hearts, so what better cause than to sponsor something which supports local people in their time of need.” Wessex Cancer Trust will use all of the money raised to provide practical and emotional support to anyone living with cancer in Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight. With most of its planned fundraising or events cancelled, the charity set up a Just Giving page to raise money to give emotional and physical support to local people living with cancer at www.justgiving.com/campaign/ StillHereForYou.
