We’ve also come to realise that our mental health is as important as our physical health and by spending time in the forest we can refresh mind, body and spirit, especially in Autumn when the kaleidoscope of colours is a real tonic. With so much to enjoy in our towns and villages, Go New Forest, working with New Forest District Council, is running Eat Out 4 Less and Shop 4 Less schemes, giving you the added bonus of saving money at the same time as supporting the local economy. COVID-19 has also demonstrated the true value of tourism, both in local revenue and job creation, particularly the large number of non-tourism businesses and jobs the industry supports in its supply chain.
