In December each year, Oakhaven Hospice holds their ‘Light Up a Life’ service of remembrance and thanksgiving for those who are no longer with us. is year Oakhaven will be pre-recording the service, which will be available to watch on Monday 7th December at 6pm via their website. Alicia Poulson, Events Fundraiser at Oakhaven, said “Although we are unable to hold the service in the same way this year, we still want to offer the community the chance to remember their loved ones at Christmas, by dedicating a light on the Oakhaven Tree of Remembrance in their honour.” You do not have to have lost someone who was cared for at the Hospice to make a dedication; Light Up a Life is an opportunity for everyone in the community to come together to remember their loved ones, a chance to celebrate their lives in the knowledge that others across the community are watching the service and re ecting on those who won’t be with them this Christmas. If you would like to be involved in the service from home, Oakhaven can send you a Light Up a Life at Home pack which includes details of how you can watch the service online, a service programme, a pin badge, a keepsake to write a message or memory on to hang in a special place and a candle. To nd out more and make a dedication, please visit www. oakhavenhospice.co.uk/ light-up-a-life and follow the steps online. Alternatively you can pick up a dedication form from one of the Oakhaven Hospice shops or call 01590 555025 to speak to Alicia Poulson, Events Fundraiser. All dedications received before Friday 13th November will feature in the commemorative service programme and on Oakhaven’s website dedications page (from Friday 20th November).
