Vital funds are used to support local people living with Motor Neurone Disease. e money raised will go towards supplying equipment not available on the NHS such as; mobile arm rests, riser recliner chairs and computer equipment for those whose voice is a ected. Funding also helps with housing adaptions or holidays. Dictonary4life is part of a literacy programme reflecting Rotary International priorities supported by local Rotary clubs. It is a free standing project working in association with Rotary International in Great Britain, Ireland and Children at Hythe Primary School receiving the wonderful gift of a dictionary4 life Usborne Publishing Ltd. e ethos is that children around the world can have a better life by reading a dictionary. By encouraging the intelligent and self-guided use of dictionaries, learners become more independent, and this is one of the core goals. Pupils are encouraged to use dictionaries efficiently to explore spellings, meanings, derivations e.g. by using alphabetical order, abbreviations, de nitions and understanding.
