A er receiving funding from a silent auction of Fair Ways’ students’ artwork, held at the Chartered Accountants Annual Ball, the Morrisons Foundation also agreed to donate towards the cost of the project. Gareth Webb, Fair Ways Chief Operating O cer said: “ Fair Ways are hugely appreciative of Morrison’s Foundation for their most generous donation. The specialist playground is a wonderful addition to the Fair Ways school in Totton and will be enjoyed by pupils of our school for years to come.” Victoria, Head of School said: “The new playground has hugely improved the outdoor space available to us. We have seen the students use it constantly and it has really helped promote outdoor learning for some of our students who can sometimes find being in a classroom, a little overwhelming.” David Scott, Morrisons Foundation Trustee said: “We know that Fair Ways pride themselves on offering holistic and tailored services to the children and young people that they support. We are absolutely delighted to see the vision that was presented to us come to life and know that this will have a positive impact for years to come. This playground was designed by the children for the children and the finished build really is marvellous.” e Morrisons Foundation was set up by Morrisons supermarket in 2015 and awards grants for charity projects which help improve people’s lives. Since launching over £32 million has been donated to hundreds of charities across England, Scotland and Students unveil the new playground at Fair Ways School Wales. Local charities are encouraged to visit www. morrisonsfoundation. com to nd out how to apply for a grant. e Economic Development Team at New Forest District Council has long recognised the importance of the Film and Television sector. is has directly led to the creation of the ‘Film New Forest Project’ which, over four years, had delivered over £3.5m of bene t to the local economy. e new Film and TV Production Restart Scheme is therefore seen as important as it will help productions that have been halted or delayed by an inability to obtain insurance for COVID-19 related risks, to get back up and running. e scheme is designed to give productions the con dence they need and that they will be supported if future losses are incurred due to COVID-19. The DCMS (Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) programme requires productions to register online before 1st January 2021 for both new and existing productions.
