We are following strict Public Health England (PHE) guidelines to keep us all safe. To keep ourselves as healthy as possible during lockdown it is important we exercise daily. Exercise moves our joints and muscles which in turn provides important stimulation to our brain. Chiropractic helps to keep our joints mobile and muscles supple. I once read a quote by a dentist: “Only floss the teeth you want to keep...” A similar concept for maintenance of our muscles and joints: Only exercise the muscles and joints you want to keep moving! It is o en not until one of your joints starts hurting you realise how badly you want ALL of your body to keep functioning. Walking is excellent exercise and half an hour to an hour a day would give you a good start to maintain your mobility. In addition to walking, doing some strength exercises is important to prevent problems. At Hythe Chiropractic Centre we support our patients with simple exercise recommendations to help maintain strength and mobility. Foot health is obviously crucial to be able to stay mobile, so if you do have any foot pain or issues please give us a call, our Podiatrist is excellent and very experienced. Call us on: 023 8020 7826 for more information or to make an appointment. Chiropractic Services are also available in Totton, please ring 023 8086 3612. Gifts in Wills Make Every Moment Matter for Oakhaven Hospice Oakhaven Hospice has been providing free hospice care for over 28 years, looking a er over 250 patients and their loved ones each week through a wide variety of services both in the hospice and home settings. is support allows those near end of life to be cared for at a time of great uncertainty. In fact, one in every four patients is supported by Oakhaven thanks to gi s made in Wills. A pledge to support Oakhaven in the future does not have to be large; any size will help make a di erence and are vital to the services provided by the Hospice. For Jackie and her husband John, the help Oakhaven o ered gave them the support they needed at the most di cult of times. Jackie explains: “John spent nearly 4 months at Oakhaven, being looked after by the kindest, most caring, and with the best sense of humour, team that anyone could ever meet. Every time I visited there always seemed to be a nurse in his room, both having a chuckle at something, he did like to play pranks and joke with all the team. No matter what time of day I needed a chat or reassurance, or sometimes just a hug, there was someone there for me.” If you would like to support Oakhaven with a gift in your Will, or indeed in some other way, please send an email to: legacies@oakhavenhospice.co.uk or call: 01590 677773. Alternatively visit www.oakhavenhospice.co.uk/ legacies for further information. Your gift really will make a difference to others like Jackie and John when they need it most.
