It’s that time of year again; the rabbits will start to hop about; the owers will bloom, and colour will be ooding the country once more. Make way for BBQs, Springtime walks, Easter, and longer days. I’ve put together a short list of things you can do this Spring, pandemic dependant of course! It starts very simply with a picnic. Why not grab some lovely food, maybe a bottle of zz and a blanket? ere’s nothing much better than sitting in good weather and eating good food. Invite your pals, sit socially distanced and have a laugh. What about an Easter egg trail? For those with young families, the enjoyment of an Easter Egg hunt never gets old. You could run your own, or head down to any of the National Trust sites – one just under 2 hours away is Chartwell in Kent, Churchill’s family home. Why not make a mini break of it and stay overnight? Have a long weekend in a cottage by the sea! If guidelines allow what about renting somewhere for a long weekend? Maybe a lodge in a holiday park with a private hot tub? I suggest somewhere o the beaten track in Devon or in a quiet village in Cornwall. Go berry or flower picking. is is perhaps one of my favourites. Why not pay a visit to Goodall’s Strawberries in Lymington. Or, if owers are more your thing, take a drive to Chichester for an overnight stay and pick your own lavender? Stargazing. Another favourite that I don’t do nearly enough! Take blankets and hot chocolate, make a camp re and huddle together under the stars. You could make a trip out of it and camp overnight – how romantic!
