SO40 9PL TOTTON SHOWROOM Everybody Needs Good Neighbours by Age Concern New Forest Age Concern’s Good Neighbours project o ers older local people neighbourly help with a wide range of basic tasks that can help assist them to live independently. We can help you with shopping, medical appointments, collecting prescriptions, reading, writing letters, gardening, or those (annoying) little jobs around the home. We also have a Befriending Programme. Would you like a regular visit or phone call from someone who has the time to chat, listen and share your interests? Or perhaps you have a relative or friend who would appreciate the opportunity to make a new friend? Our wonderful volunteers help us provide all our services and we endeavour to give them a rewarding and enjoyable experience with us. A helpline is up and running for frail or vulnerable residents who do not have support from families, friends or their local community, and who need urgent assistance with essential food or household supplies, collection of medication, or who are at risk of loneliness. The Coronavirus Hampshire Helpline – Hantshelp4vulnerable - can be contacted on: 0333 370 4000. e helpline is available seven days a week, from 9am-5pm. e service is available to people residing in the county of Hampshire only. ere are separate arrangements in place for Southampton, Portsmouth and Isle of Wight residents. Hantshelp4vulnerable will provide advice and information, as well as co-ordinate requests for practical help, passing them through to the appropriate Local Response Centre – there is one based in each of Hampshire’s 11 districts. In addition to the helpline, an expert County Council team is continuing to provide specialist social care support to residents with more complex needs.
