Something that my family and many others have missed out on during this pandemic so I thought it would be good to look back on a few good times… My family and I regularly go to Crete, we have done since I can remember. Every other year, we y to Heraklion, pick up our car and drive to our beloved resort, Village Heights. For history bu s like myself, this island is a dream. It’s smothered in history, but my favourite place must be e Palace of Knossos. is gorgeous site is Europe’s oldest city and dates back to the Bronze Age. It surrounds the myth of eseus and the Minotaur, as you’ll see from the colourful murals covering the remaining walls in this amazing location. A slightly di erent memory is a little more recent. My younger sister and I decided Portugal would be the chosen destination for my 21st birthday in 2019. We had a lovely dinner by the seafront with the family, then partied the night away with free birthday drinks and ended the evening giggling madly in our hotel room - certainly, a night to remember! One of my best friends’ favourite memories is making it to the top of Mount Snowdon! One of her most adventurous activities – though her and her family favour active holidays, it was one of the greatest things she’s ever done. Her suggestion was to make a few days of it, climb to the top of Snowdon then spend the next couple of days resting up with some good food and awesome company. Staying in Llanberis was beautiful and very relaxing! I hope this has made you think of some of your favourite holiday memories.
