COVID- 19 has put a strain on older people and their carers to stay mobile and live well while living during lockdown restrictions. ey strive to support every older person to make the most of their ageing journey and have adapted operations to support clients in their homes to ensure older people feel positive during this di cult time. e highly experienced team help clients and families to feel supported in their home environments by o ering a little extra help and respite care. Home-visits from a quali ed support worker o ers stimulating and engaging one-to-one activities in the safety of the client’s own home to maintain wellbeing, health, and cognitive function. e health and safety of their clients is paramount especially in light of the COVID pandemic. Support workers are fully equipped with infection control certi cation and PPE to ensure the safety of clients at all times. To be accepted on to the list, tradespersons need to supply two referees in relation to their work from clients or suppliers etc., and they will obtain the references. ey DO NOT make r e c o mm e n d a t i o n s regarding a particular tradesperson but are happy to share the list. Understanding how important good foot care is to their clients, the foot clinics are still operating for local people aged 55+. They have taken many extra precautions to make them COVID-Safe. They also offer Toenail cutting for £20 or Toe & Fingernails for £25. The registered Podiatrists and Chiropodists are also able to give foot care advice and information on other treatments available. Waterside Good Neighbours volunteers could help with transport if required.
