All these groups are currently by invitation only as they have to restrict the numbers. If you want to book a place, please call: 023 8020 7623 and leave a message. ey are very grateful to Cornerstone Church in Hythe for the use of the premises. ey are hopeful in being able to re-start their parenting courses and Hythe Huddle again soon. Watch this space for dates. Families Matter received an emergency funding grant from the Council in October 2020 to help families in crisis in the Waterside area. Between November 2020 and March 2021 they helped 39 families with food shopping, and 7 families with utility bills. ey also started an arts and cra scheme for young people with mental health needs, which has now given out 15 art and cra packs to young people in need of occupation during the lockdowns. All these have been much appreciated as Doorstep deliveries helped so many people in the Waterside during the pandemic the pandemic and lockdowns have le some people in severe di culties, nancially or healthwise. ey have received several lovely letters and emails of thanks from those receiving the parcels; “We would like to say a huge thank you for bringing us some food and getting us some electric.” P from Hythe. “Thank you so much for the food today Julia, it really is appreciated and a massive help to us all.” K from Holbury. “Thanks so much for the nappies and food for my children.” L from Black eld . If you have time & wool to spare, why not knit a ‘Bobby Buddy’ to comfort and bring a smile to a young person. If you provide your name then the child will be able to know who kindly handmade their buddy.
