Started in May for six months, the Ringwood based eatre Company will send a free pack each month to those signed up with all the materials they need to start writing. e packs are inspired by the 40-year-old eatre’s large working archive of props and costumes, so it will be like a museum landing on the participants doorstep each month. Each monthly pack will contain: • ings to see, touch, listen to, smell and taste • Writing warm-up exercises • Tasks based on the articles in the packs • Awriting prompt to encourage participants to create their own piece of writing • Hints and tips about di erent types of writing and styles to explore • e packs include a piece of work from another writer in the project so participants can enjoy each other’s work Lucy Phillips, Creative Learning Director at Forest Forge eatre, says: “We are passionate about stories and love encouraging people to write their own. Although the world is slowly emerging, we know there is still isolation and uncertainty to come, and we also know that creativity is an excellent way of relieving stress, giving purpose and enjoying expressing yourself. And shouldn’t be exclusively an activity for children.” Oakhaven Hospice has been providing free hospice care for over 29 years. ey are there for local families and their loved ones who are facing end of life and bereavement, within the hospice and in homes across our New Forest, Waterside and Totton communities.
