For more info on all our wellbeing sessions and to book your place, telephone: 01590 638521 or visit: www. oakhavenhospice.co.uk/ wel lbeing/wel lbeing- sessions LEARN TO RELAX Stepping Up for Diabetes Waterside Warriors are helping to raise funds for Diabetes UK by walking a huge amount of steps over a 3 month period. e challenge kicked o on the 2nd July with many members pledging to walk 500,000 or even 1 MILLION steps over the three months, which equates to 10,000 steps in a day, every day, for 3 months! e target you set is your own and you can raise sponsorship money as you step into a healthier lifestyle. You can also meet your personal goals and help meet the team goals. At some point during the 3 month challenge they are hopeful they may be able to meet up in person for walks, encouraging and pushing each other to meet their targets. You don’t have to have diabetes to do this or have a passion for walking... just a desire to set yourself a new challenge. For help and advice visit: www.diabetes.org.uk COATES CENTRE RE-OPENS Oakhaven Wellbeing’s drop-in centre - e Coates Centre – is now welcoming visitors to drop-in between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday. is community service, provided by Oakhaven Hospice Trust, is for anyone living across the New Forest, Waterside and Totton areas whose lives have been impacted by illness and visitors can drop in anytime during opening hours - there’s no need for any referral or be known to Oakhaven. So whether you’ve been recently diagnosed or are living with a life-limiting progressive illness, you are a carer, or you are trying to cope with having lost a loved one; e Coates Centre is there for you. Trained volunteers are ready to welcome and guide you to information and available support along with a cuppa in the light and airy ‘Hub’ at the friendly and welcoming centre, which is located within the grounds of the Hospice in Lower Pennington Lane, Lymington, SO41 8ZZ. The Coates Centre offers a safe environment to meet others who are going through similar experiences.
