Brian Whittaker took second place with ‘Le Behind’ and Hampshire County Council has started work on improvements to seven junctions on the southern section of the A326. • Dibben Roundabout: Works commenced on 28th June with tra c management for a period of nine weeks with a ve-week closure of Main Road with a local, signed diversion route; • Hardley Roundabout: Works due to commence mid/late July with o peak temporary signals on the northern arm of the roundabout for a ve-week period; • Long Copse Lane Roundabout: Works to start in early September for a 12-week period with tra c signals in operation and local and wider area signed diversion routes. Phase 2 of the scheme is expected to begin later in the year with a view to being completed by late 2022. is phase will include: • Applemore Roundabout (Sizer Way) - widening of approaches and exit lanes, relocation of National Cycle Network crossing of A326; • Blackfield Road/Church Lane/B3053 - new signalised junction and crossing facilities; • A326/Holbury Drove and Southbourne Avenue - Capacity improvement and pedestrian crossing facilities; • Dibden Purlieu Roundabout - widening of approaches and exit lanes. Both of Malcolm’s other entries received Seals of Merit; another of Brian’s entries received a Seal; Roy Lambeth received two Seals and further Seals of Merit were awarded to Ian Whatmore, Margaret Cooper, Mary Gardiner, and Peter Wood . In the primary category John Allen took rst place with ‘The Deep Hull’ ; the judge said that the colours on the side or the building were beautiful due to the good timing of the lighting. Pete Roberson came second with ‘Elgol Shore’ and Jackie Ridout came third with ‘Ghost Ship’. Both of John’s other entries were awarded Seals of Merit and further seals went to Lizzie Dutfield and Martin Bowles . View nders is coming to the end of its club year, but its exhibition will run up until 18th July in Romsey Abbey as part of Romsey Festival. e club is hoping to resume normal meetings on most Tuesdays at the Jubilee Hall, New Road, Timsbury in September.
