New Forest and Waterside U3A A walk for all the family. Discover the natural wonders of Lepe Point and the Sensory Garden on this guided walk with a Ranger. Places must be booked in advance. Go to: www.hants.gov.uk/thingstodo/countryparks/ lepe to book and find out more information about all the summer activities Fawley Show is taking place on Saturday 28th August on the playing eld at Marsh Lane in Fawley Village. e whole day is planned to be packed with historic, classic, modern vehicles and motorcycles on display. ey also have a fantastic line-up of 6 live bands playing throughout the day, lots of cra stalls selling handmade goods and refreshments too. • 11am – Goodnight Sweethearts • 12.30pm – udpuckers • 2pm – Up All Night • 4pm – Trav Cats • 6pm – Mick and Russ • 8pm - e Lizzy Legend (Tribute Band) For the kids there will be a photo opportunity with Captain America, a bouncy castle and slide, face- painting, remote controlled vehicles, re engines and armoured vehicles provided by the Military Education Trust, to name but a few! A erwards, take a short stroll into Fawley Square where you can see more vehicles and enjoy a fabulous meal and a pint at the Falcon Inn. Entrance is FREE , so head over to the playing elds on Church Lane, Fawley and while away a few hours with friends supporting local bands ey’ve had an amazing response from lots of businesses in the area - large and small and will be advertising their logos for their sponsorship on the Big Banner on the day. New Forest and Waterside U3A are now to start their meetings again in St. Andrew’s Church Hall. e next meeting is on Tuesday 31st August at 2pm and the speaker will be Terry Smith of Open Sight which provides practical support for the blind and partially sighted people across Hampshire. e following meeting will be on Tuesday 21st September and the speaker will tell them about the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission who look a er all the war graves across the world. A er each speaker they have tea and biscuits and usually the meeting ends at approximately 3.30pm. New Forest and Waterside U3A have many interest groups such as gardening, theatre, discussion, history, skittles and much more. ey organise a luncheon once a month and a holiday once a year.
