A er nearly two years of planning and being postponed, on Saturday 11th September the Marchwood Superhero’s Village Fete will nally take place. Government restrictions have now o cially been li ed, but please be assured that they will be doing their utmost to ensure that everyone remains safe and well. Face masks on site will be optional. ey are pleased to announce that Jubilee Brass will be trumpeting their sound across the fete ground as well as Uke Box Glory, a volunteer army of ukulele players, who raise money for charity with their playing. In the arena will also be Jonathan the Jester and Circus Wessex who will be giving circus skills demonstrations and holding workshops in their Big Top tent all a ernoon. Flare Gymnastics Club will be demonstrating their prowess, spurred on by Team GBs success at the Tokyo Olympics no doubt. Fawley Rugby Club will be demonstrating tactics on the eld and Big Mouth eatre are promising some theatrical activities, which all those watching can participate in! For those children who love exercise and a challenge, they also have mini athletics, taking place all a ernoon. e arena will also feature the traditional dancing of the Fijian community, which is always a treat! For animal lovers, they are holding their rst fun dog show. Classes are just £1 per category, per dog, to enter and are: ‘Most Fabulous Fella’, ‘Most Loveliest Lady’, ‘Waggiest Tail’, ‘Best Rescue’, and ‘Best in Show’. In addition to all of this they have the usual fairground rides and bouncy castles, the Youth Club will be open to all, Messy Church will be in the new Scout and Guide building and there are stalls representing many di erent local organisations and businesses, who will have activities to take part in and wares to sell.
