With a broad age range The Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association UK & Ireland (WSMBA) Southern Chapter covered 2,000 miles over 4 days of solid tyre to tarmac. ere was a general hubbub of nervous energy as the Chapter and uno cial Ridings rep, FrankMilner, fuelled up with Bacon Baps and Co ee, provided free by the caterers for Kings Court Masonic Centre in Chandlers Ford. The Past PGM for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight – Mike Wilks arrived to be warmly greeted, shortly followed by the Mayor of Eastleigh and the representative of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. Once assembled, the Mayor of Eastleigh and Mike Wilks assisted in presenting the £10,000 cheque from last year’s ride. In thanking them, Natalie of the HIOWAA noted that they were by far the biggest single non- corporate contributor to the charity. e journey was certainly ‘eventful’ with weather of all seasons coupled with some knocks and bumps along the way – luckily no bikers were harmed in the process! ey expect to reach in the region of £12k for HIOWAA and WSMBA. Southern Chapter would like to thank each and every one of all the fabulous Widows Sons, friends and families for the support, generosity and hospitality on every inch of their ride.
