Opening somewhat ‘under the radar’ owner of Bea’s Home, Emma Beament is not one for ‘grand openings’ preferring a more subtle and relaxed vibe – and this shows in her gorgeous home furnishings shop and the items she has hand selected. e furniture trade is nothing new to Emma, learning the trade at a young age from the best. Growing up her parents owned a reproduction furniture shop in Rumbridge Street, Totton, but after Emma’s Father died the business sadly came to an end. Being caught by the furniture bug Emma continued her career working as Sales Manager for a furniture company in Southampton until children came along and other priorities took hold. 18 years later she is back and being a local Hythe resident Emma saw an opportunity to not only bring quality homeware to Hythe, but to ensure it suited every pocket. Meet ing Emma it’s obvious she is immensely passionate about her items and the selection of tasteful, yet quirky items on show o ers something for everyone. All the items are sourced in the UK, and they o er FREE local delivery for larger items – is is where Emma’s husband Andre and Son Daniel come in, they are very handy when it comes to delivering those heavier pieces of furniture! Although the business is Emma’s brainchild it’s very much a family a air involving daughter Charlotte who (like any typical young person) is the technical one, looking a er the website, Facebook, and Instagram. Emma admits: “ Home furnishings is my thing, I leave the I.T stuff to the younger ones!” Charlotte also loves to help in the shop when she can and everyone in the family, including Emma’s Mum Eileen has an input into the business and the items on display. Emma has been warmly welcomed by Hythe business owners and shoppers alike and as a thank you Bea’s Home are offering 10% discount off all purchases .
