7th October 2021 • The HERALD • Page 19 v F @ heraldpublishing v 0238001 4269 Fawley Juniors put on a Display at Marchwood Fete Fawley RFC juniors entertained the public with a great display of rugby skills at Marchwood Fete on Saturday 11th September. In the glorious sunshine volunteer coaches and players were able to demonstrate the fun they have every Sunday at Gang Warily. Onlookers were treated to a comprehensive package of ball passing, tackling and kicking skills from Fawley’s trained coaches and helpers. Fawley RFC are proud to have teams from school year R right through to their very active walking rugby team. All teams have dedicated coaches, rst aiders and safeguarding experts. e juniors train on Sunday mornings at Gang Warily from 9.30am depending on the age group. ere are also mid-week training sessions for some older age groups and dedicated girls’ teams. ey are always on the lookout for new players for any of their age groups and would love to hear from anyone interested in taking up or returning to this fantastic sport. To support this growing club, they have recently won planning permission to build a new clubhouse. ey are now in full fundraising mode and are always keen to talk to sponsors or donating parties. If you would like to know more about the junior section please email: juniorchair@fawleyrfc.co.uk If you can help with committee or fundraising or want to join the older sections, please email: enquiries@ fawleyrfc.co.uk TOTTON REPAIR CAFÉ e aim of the Totton Repair Café, along with all repair cafés, is to try and prevent small household goods from going to land ll if they stop working. ere are so many items being thrown away with minor faults which can normally be xed by their team of repairers. While they can never guarantee to x all items, they will always give it a good go! If they cannot repair it they are able to give advice on the repair items and will also PAT test electrical items once they have worked on them. A er your repair is completed all they ask for is a voluntary donation towards the cost of the hall and any money raised over cost will go to the Community Centre. Totton Repair Cafés is running on Saturday 16th October. They will be open from 10.30am until 1pm at Totton & Eling Community Centre. Please feel free to pop down & see what it’s all about and have a chat & if you have the necessary talents, please come and volunteer as a repairer.
