Pale pink lisianthus, peach spray roses, pink pompom dahlias and red pompom dahlias were added together with hawthorn berries and lime green hydrangeas creating a loose design reminiscent of the Dutch masters. e arrangement was placed on bright pink voile and two brass candlesticks completed this design. A very elegant tall candlestick was used for this design. Various herbs including bay, mint, rosemary and sage gave the outline. Hypericum berries, white bouvardia, peach lisianthus, green hydrangea and peach aster were inserted. Green candlesticks and two small arrangements completed this dainty design. Katie then demonstrated how to achieve a hand tied bunch and made it look very easy. Hypericum berries, pink lisianthus, white astrantia, pale pink spray roses and peach aster were used to create a beautiful bouquet. A large round black urn was used for this design. Several stems of blue larkspur provided height in the centre with mixed foliage inserted around the base of the design. Snowberries were added together with pink Japanese anemones and mauve memory lane roses placed lower in the arrangement. e nal design using paper covered grave vases lled with water in a vertical line with a pile of books at the base. Stems of foliage were inserted in each vase before adding pink larkspur, white antirrhinum, white astrantia, dainty pink grass and snowberries. Stems of red vine leaves trailed through the design and a small hand tied bunch completed this arrangement. A most enjoyable a ernoon for everyone, a touch of normality at last. e next meeting will take place on Tuesday 12th October at 2pm with a talk about exhibiting at Chelsea by Pip Bensley.
