A total of £875 was raised by the event with £437.50 going to the Waterside Cancer Support Centre and the other £437.50 going to a range of other Rotary charities. e event was a great success and e Dodgy Jammers were happy to be back playing live again. As well as the music, guests enjoyed the two course meal. Rotary would like to thank all those who supported the event, especially the Dodgy Jammers. Waterside Cancer Support Client Services Co-ordinator Wendy White receiving the cheque from Rotarian Ian Wheeler MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING Residents of Depden Gardens in Dibden Purlieu held a co ee morning on their communal green, raising £473 in support of the Macmillan charity’s annual Co ee Morning appeal. Neighbours and friends arrived on the green with their o erings of cakes and bakes to enjoy with fresh co ee or tea. ere was also a great selection of cakes to buy and a well-supported ra e with the star prize of a food hamper. Resident, Kate Galt, said: “We are so lucky to have a communal green and the coffee morning was a lovely opportunity for neighbours and friends to get together in support of such a worthwhile charity, with the money raised far exceeding our expectations. Totton Area Men’s Shed The Totton Area Men’s Shed will be a workshop and meeting room where members can pursue practical interests at leisure, practice skills and enjoy making and mending, leading to social connections, friendship building, sharing skills and knowledge, and of course a lot of tea & laughter. e Totton Area Men’s Shed hold many of their activities in the Totton and Eling Community Centre SO40 3AP.
