Needlefelting supplies, craft kits, socks, throws and hand-knits HYTHE COMMUNITY FIREWORKS e Hythe Community Fireworks is back with a bang! e annual event (now in its tenth year) is run by the Friends of Hythe Primary School, Hythe and Dibden Cricket Club and Hythe Youth Club and will take place on Thursday 4th November with gates opening at 5pm and the display starting at 6.30pm. Tickets on sale from Toys Ahoy, Ebenezers and e Nelson. It could not happen without the support of Waterside Emergency Medical Services Ltd, 4 Troop Hythe (ACF) on the night, Trant Engineering Ltd and Hythe & Dibden Parish Council. Hot food and refreshments will be available and the Cricket Club will have their bar open to the public. ere will be a number of small fairground rides and glows for sale. LIVE AT LEPE Join Sound Level Events for an evening of live music with the beautiful view of the Solent and food served by their Lookout team! Friday 12th November 6.45pm until 10pm. The Gurkha Museum Totton U3A meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Masonic Hall, Lexby Road, Eling, SO40 9HD at 1.45pm. ey have a guest speaker each month with time to socialise over a cup of tea. Some of his tales were amusing and others quite gruesome! e next meeting will be on Wednesday 10th November when Marion Catt’s talk is entitled ‘A Mixed Bunch’. All meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at Dibden Golf Club from 10.30am. Co ee and biscuits are served followed by a speaker and a two course lunch. e meeting ends at approximately 1.30pm. On Saturday 13th November Music at Beaulieu is delighted to welcome a male consort from Tenebrae, one of the world’s top chamber choirs. e award- winning group, directed by Nigel Short, is renowned for its passion and precision. ey will be performing a programme of Medieval chant and the programme will include omas Tallis’ famous ‘Lamentations of Jeremiah’. e concert starts at 7pm at Beaulieu Abbey Church. With the changes to the distancing rules, they are now able to release more tickets, these are available at £20 each through their web-site: musicatbeaulieu. org/programme. eir December concert to be given by the New Forest Children’s and Chamber choirs will be on Saturday 11th December . is is a popular concert devoted to music suitable for the Christmas season and is usually a sell-out; tickets are £10 each. is concert will complete their 2021 series and their 2022 programme will be published early in the new year. Hythe Wives will take place on Friday 5th November for their AGM, members are asked to submit their nominations for a local charity to be the focus of their fund raising for the next twelve months. Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month 2.15pm to 4.30pm in the Main Hall at St Andrew’s Centre, Dibden Purlieu. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
