Cornerstone Youth Club will now be running fortnightly on Friday evenings from 7.30-9pm for young people age 11-18. ere will be a variety of activities; cra s, cooking, games along with table tennis and snooker, or just chill and chat in the newly refurbished youth lounge. Youth Bible Study Group has now re-started, also meeting fortnightly on Friday evenings from 7.30- 9.30pm in the youth lounge for chat, Bible study and prayer. is is for young people ages 14-18 who wish to learn more about being a Christian through studying God’s word together, in a relaxed and fun way. Trinity Church Totton SUNDAY SERVICES Every 2 weeks on a Tuesday morning from 9.30am -12noon there’s a great TABLE TOP SALE at Cornerstone Hythe URC in New Road. ere is always a great selection of Electricals, Jewellery, Collectables, Kitchenware, Glassware, Bags, Toys, Puzzles, Bric- a-brac and an extensive library of Paperback Books, CDs, and DVDs. All proceeds go to the Cornerstone Outreach Fund supporting mission and outreach locally, in the UK and overseas. Upcoming sales are on Tuesdays 2nd, 16th & 30th November, and 14th December . Co ee, tea, and biscuits are always available in the Foyer too! ey are hoping, COVID-19 rules permitting, to hold their much loved Christmas Tree Festival in St John’s Church again this year. e event will run from Saturday 20th November until Sunday 6th December . Decorated trees are donated and displayed by Schools, Businesses, Groups and private individual in the church for 2 weeks. e church is open for viewing daily and during that time people are invited to place a bid on the tree of their choice. If you place the winning bid then the tree is available for collection a er the 6th December. ey would love this to be a bumper year as, of course, they were unable to hold the event last year. If you would like to take part either call into St John’s Hall for an entry form or email: christine.m.richards@ outlook.com Hythe 2000 Christmas Tree Festival WOOLLY ANGELS Every year St Johns Church in Hythe like to inform the local community of their church service times in the most angelic of ways. As we get nearer to Christmas many readers will nd knitted angel keepsakes hidden around the local area with service times attached. e church aim to give away 750 of these little wonders and are calling for keen knitters to get involved. So far this year they have approximately 300 angels, thanks to the hard work of volunteers. A special mention must go out to the wonderful Joyce who is 100 years young and has been kindly knitting and stitching angels for the church for over 3 years. Joyce lives independently, cooking all her own meals and is an absolute inspiration to everyone at the church; they really wouldn’t know what to do without her! Doggy Must-Have e team at Hythe Ferry are coming up with wonderful ways to keep money coming in. One of the trendiest items of ‘merch’ is this season’s latest doggy must-have – e ‘I Love Hythe Ferry’ bandana. e Bandanas are ‘Blue Funnel blue’ and highly durable, so you can take your paw-some pet for a paddle and wash it over and over – it doesn’t shrink or fade. ey cost £7 each and come in standard and small. All money will go directly to the ferry fund. So, if you want to help support the ferry by treating your four-legged bestie then pop along to the Ferry o ce and pick up a bandana. Oakhaven Wellbeing Bereavement services are open to all. Whether your loss is recent, months or even years ago, and you don’t need to have lost your loved one at Oakhaven, you can nd support. ere are Bereavement Co ee Mornings which take place on the 1st Wednesday of the month between 10am until 12noon, at the Coates Centre, located in the grounds of Oakhaven Hospice, Lower Pennington Lane, Lymington SO41 8ZZ, and also Bereavement Teas, on the 3rd Wednesday of the month between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. eir bereavement volunteers will welcome you and makeyouacuppa.Youcanmeet otherswhounderstand what you are going through, and nd information and advice to help you cope, from one-to-one support, group support, wellbeing sessions and in time when you are ready more social activities.
