ASK A PROFESSIONAL A Mountainous Challenge In mid-2022, Clever Software Group, a bespoke sof tware development company based in Ringwood, will be donning their walking boots to undertake the mountainous task of the ree Peaks Challenge. e team hope to be joined by a group of volunteers and supporters from Tall Ships Youth Trust, a youth development sail training charity that works with young people aged 12- 25 from across the UK. So, Why Tall Ships Youth Trust? e sail training charity is the oldest and largest of its kind in the UK with a particular focus on helping the most disadvantaged young people in our society to ful ll their life potential through adventures at sea. Tall Ships Youth Trust is located in Portsmouth, meaning it is situated within the bespoke so ware development company’s home county and an organization that holds values which are very close to Clever So ware Group’s heart. James Hudson, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Tall Ships Youth Trust, said: “A big thank you to Clever Software Group for taking on this mountainous challenge to help raise funds for our vital youth development work. We’ve also had a fantastic response from our own supporters to join their team and we’re extremely grateful to all those taking part.” e Trust takes young people from all walks of life on residential sailing voyages, on board their iconic eet of Challenger yachts. Whilst out on the water, they learn lessons and experience situations that will set them up for life and in turn, help them realise their own potential. During the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the charity’s operations sadly had to come to a complete halt, meaning so many young people that relied on the Trust’s support were le largely isolated. ankfully, earlier this year Tall Ships Youth Trust was able to resume their mission and allow those young people who so desperately needed the backing of the charity, to explore uncharted possibilities. e pandemic has le a devastating e ect on so many young people’s mental health, leaving many feeling deeply anxious, with little to no hope for the future and a huge lack of motivation. is is the reason Clever So ware Group has chosen to take on the ree Peaks Challenge and fundraise for Tall Ships Youth Trust.
