Sue Pepper from New Forest Fabrics, Dibden Purlieu, is a famous name in the local cra ing community and the place to go for all your fabric needs. A er discovering a lack of good local fabric/ haberdashery shops and her dislike of buying fabrics online, Sue started the business from scratch, spending the rst 4 years at Hythe Marina before moving to their current location in Dibden Purlieu. New Forest Fabrics is a major stockist of 100% cotton fabrics, haberdashery and books and has been selling hand knitting yarns since the wool shop in Hythe closed almost 2 years ago. ey have a huge local following plus a brand new website making it accessible for all. Over the last few months Sue has made the decision to retire, which will allow her to spend precious time with her family and friends (along with her cra s!) Sue won’t be sitting still for long though, as she is looking to redesign her garden and has her sights set on travelling to parts of the world on her ‘bucket list’. Sue says: “Until we find the perfect owner for the shop it’s business as usual. I have enjoyed the years of teaching patchwork and quilting and it’s been a privilege seeing customers blossom in their abilities and take on more challenging projects. Being creative is hugely therapeutic. I would be available to take the odd class or two if the new owner of New Forest Fabrics would be interested and, of course, I would offer my full help and support to the new owner to ensure they settle in. I’m sure the community would make them feel as welcomed as I’ve felt over the years.” For all your fabric and haberdashery needs visit: www.newforestfabrics. co.uk or call: 023 8178 3386 Are you are interested in discussing this business opportunity (without obligation) with Sue?
