As an added bonus parking in the NFDC Car Parks is FREE all Day. Southern Market Traders will be there with the Christmas Market o ering all sorts of gi s, goodies and decorations. In Pylewell Precinct there is an o shoot of the ‘Waterside (SO45 plus) Cra & Produce Market - Keeping Gi ing Local’ Facebook page which was started to help local microbusinesses during the pandemic last Christmas. e virtual market will have some real life stalls with some beautifully cra ed and gi s and produce. e library also have their traditional ‘Cra ernoon’ and ‘Praizin’ Hands will be giving performance of their award winning puppet shows Thoughtful Gifts Go along to KJ’s Mobility & KJ’s Roomy Footwear, both in Hythe High Street for a range of ideal Christmas gi s. You will find comforting wheat or lavender neck pillows, hot water bottles with cosy covers and gel packs, which can be chilled or heated in the microwave. ere is a selection of Disable badge holders available in pretty colours along with washable face masks and face visors, which make ideal stocking llers. Footwear Shop, KJ’s Roomy Footwear stock a wide range of Cosyfeet, DB Shoes, Sandpiper and Padders range of comfortable slippers and shoes – An ideal choice for ladies and gents Christmas presents. Or perhaps some roomy warm bed or day socks for extra cosiness this winter? Beautifully decorated walking aids from Classic Canes® and folding sticks would make a lovely wrapped present for under the tree. For mobility scooter drivers and wheelchair users, cosy covers are available to keep the chill out. However if it’s just too hard to decide, you can also purchase a gi voucher, which can be used in both shops, so your loved one choose for themselves. Ho Ho Ho! Visit the Mistletoe Fayre for your chance to see Santa in red will be arriving on Hythe Ferry at around 1.45pm, Father Christmas loves the Hythe Ferry and chooses to leave the Reindeer at home when he visits Hythe. He will be walking around the village centre and you can meet him in his Grotto at the Library at around 2pm. A thank you must go to Exxon Mobil who are helping Santa provide the grotto gi s this year and are also funding the wooden baubles for the Waterside Cancer Support Centre. We always keep our ngers crossed the weather will be kind but this event is weather dependent so please be aware that with heavy rain or high winds all or part of the event may be cancelled. (If it snows we’ll give it our best shot!!) See you all there! (weather permitting). There will be live music throughout the day, a mixture of traditional Christmas songs, updated Christmas Carols and other surprises. e Watersides Christmas Fire Engine will be there and giving details of their routes on the run up to Christmas and Waterside Cancer Support will be selling wooden baubles that you can send wishes to a loved one and hang on the Memory Tree.
