Passionate about supporting local, British cheesemakers and purveyors, Jonathan seeks out only the nest quality to stock in the shop. Holding over 45 different cheeses and with Christmas on the way this will be even higher! On preparing the stock for Christmas Jonathan has spent time selecting 36 festive seasonal cheeses, and for your convenience has put them into a brochure. Available digitally on their website or via printed copies from the shop. Jonathan and Harveys simply love bringing the world of cheese to the high street, making local and British cheese accessible to all, he explains: “Britain produces some of the finest cheeses and accompaniments I’ve ever had tasted, but to many selecting ‘new’ cheeses can be daunting. Therefore, whenever I describe cheese, I use a simplistic approach to make it accessible to all. People want to know; what it tastes like, where it’s from, what it goes with, how to cook with it and from there I can recommend cheeses they might like to try. I am also dedicated in highlighting local produce – we live in one of the most beautiful parts of the Country and the local produce is second-to-none. This Christmas I wanted to bring the classics to the selection such as Colston Bassett Stilton but also add in some cheeses you may not have tried before such as my own creation of a Dorset Ismay Brie with a mascarpone & truffle filling or the Cotswold Blue Brie”. One of Harvey’s Cheese’s most popular options is their £10 taster box . 10 individual, cheeses for you to try, hand selected by Harveys Cheese for you to experience a diverse selection of cheeses. is is a wonderful opportunity to try some of those unfamiliar cheeses – enabling you to ‘dip your toe’ into the cheese world!
