Fawley Firework Spectacular was back with a bang and additional sparkle this year as the event nished with a marriage proposal! Events Manager Kathryn Ashdown was contacted by Waterside resident Lee Chadwick who wished to sponsor an extra display of reworks following the Council’s show which would contain a marriage proposal to his partner Abii. e Council was delighted to be able to assist him and are pleased to report she said YES! e proposal reworks were designed and coordinated to music by Lee and the happy couple’s family and friends were close by to witness the occasion. In addition to this Charles Cole Fun Fair returned and there were various other stalls on site. Cllr Alan Alvey, Chairman of Fawley Parish Council said: “It was good to see everyone back enjoying this wonderful event at Gang Warily again and being part of a marriage proposal. Everyone at Fawley Parish Council sends their congratulations to the newly engaged couple. Special thanks must go to ExxonMobil for their continued support of the event year on year”.
