Proud owners of Heatwave Tanning, Yvette, Lianne and Frankie all grew up locally and a er seeing a gap in the market along with the perfect premises decided to go for it, during the pandemic! Victorian Christmas Spectacular Go along to Copythorne Parish Hall, Pollards Moor Road, Copythorne on Saturday 11th December from 5pm until 9pm for their Victorian Christmas Spectacular. ere will be a Victorian kitchen, steam engines, fair organ, Santa’s Grotto, children’s corner, cra stalls, and much more! HYTHE MARINA CAROLS e annual Hythe Marina carols returns this year and will take place at 6.30pm on Friday 17th December in the Marina Square. e New Forest Brass Band leads marina residents, members of local choirs and visitors as they sing some popular carols and one or two perhaps less well known ones which deserve to be heard more o en. Choristers from Hythe Primary School will be singing ‘Love shone down’ written by Andy Piercy in the 1980’s and a group from Beaulieu Warblers will sing the evocative ‘Carol of the Bells’, whose origins are in a 19th century Ukranian folk song. ere will be a collection for the Honeypot Children’s Charity which is based locally at Honeypot House near Black eld. From there, Honeypot provides respite breaks and ongoing support for children aged 5-12 years old who are full-time young carers. Visitors are welcome at the Marina to join in the singing. Wrap up warmly, they don’t want to put you o but it can be cold! Christmas at Cornerstone URC Christmas Nativity Parade & Carols Go along and join them in Hythe on Saturday 18th December from 3.30pm to see the Characters from the Christmas Nativity story. The parade will start from Cornerstone Hythe URC at 3.30pm and process around Hythe n- ishing outside Waitrose to sing carols accompanied by New Forest Brass. e events of Christmas will also be re-told from Bible readings. In addition, there will be a Nativity hunt around Hythe . Hidden in shop win- dows will be knitted nativity gures to be found during the week Monday 13th to Saturday 18th December . Anyone can enter just pick up a form from Cornerstone URC or the Herald o ce. Put the name of the shop next to the character found there, then bring it to the parade and claim your prize. Forms will be available from 13th December . Go and make a beautiful oasis-based wreath for your front door using natural materials collected from around Lepe park. Rangers will be on hand to help guide you through the process and to provide mince pies and refreshments.
